Peter Robinson

Peter Robinson, rodák z britského Leedsu, absolvent anglistiky na místní univerzitě, se roku 1974 natrvalo přestěhoval do Kanady. Zde pokračoval ve studiu, magisterský titul v oboru anglistika a tvůrčí psaní získal pod vedením Joyce Carol Oatesové na University of Windsor, doktorandský pak na York University. Žije s manželkou v Torontu, kde příležitostně vyučuje psaní kriminálních románů. Od roku 1987 publikuje - zejména v angloamerickém knižním světě velmi populární - detektivní sérii s londýnským vyšetřovatelem Alanem Banksem , jednotlivé díly byly nominovány na řadu žánrových ocenění . Robinsonovy knihy se překládají do 19 jazyků, seriál Banksových případů natáčí a vysílá od roku 2010 britská ITV. Titul Až mě uloží do země získal v roce 2012 Arthur Ellis Award za nejlepší kanadskou detektivku roku.
