      Ashlee Vance je americký sloupkař a autor. Je známý biografickou knihou o Elonu Muskovi, která vyšla v roce 2015. Nejdříve byl znám tím, že psal do periodika The Register, pak se přesunu do The New York Times a poté Bloomberg Businessweek. Pokryl firmy jako IBM, HP, Intel a Dell a též píše o různých technologiích např. o robotech, samohybech Segway či programovacím jazyce R. V roce 2007 napsal knihu "Geek Silicon Valley" o historii Silicon Valley. V roce 2015 vydal biografii Elona Muska. Jeho příspěvky se objevují v mediích jako The Economist, Chicago Tribune, CNN.com, The Globe, Mail, the International Herald Tribune, CNET.
