Victoria Aveyard je americká spisovatelka a scénáristka; píše beletrii pro mladé dospělé a fantasy. Narodila se a vyrostla v East Longmeadow v Massachusetts, na malém městě známém snad jen pro ten nejhorší kruhový objezd v celých Státech. Přestěhovala se do Los Angeles, kde na Univerzitě Jižní Kalifornie vystudovala scenáristiku a dodnes tam žije, přestože tam člověk nepozná, jestli je léto, nebo zima. Momentálně píše knihy i scénáře a svoji kariéru používá jako výmluvu, aby mohla číst hromady knih a koukat se na spousty filmů.
