Connie Willis, celým jménem Constance Elaine Trimmer Willis . Dříve učitelka, nyní spisovatelka. První povídku publikovala v roce 1971, ale teprve v 80. letech získala věhlas všestranné a kvalitní autorky povídek, publikovaných zejména v časopisu Isaac Asimov\'s SF Magazine. Povídka s tematikou cest v čase Fire Watch získala Huga a Nebulu, postkatastrofická povídka A Letter from the Clearys obdržela Nebulu, znovu obě ceny získala povídka The Last of the Winnebagos , humorná povídka parodující atmosféru vědeckých konferencí At the Rialto byla oceněna Nebulou a povídka Even the Queen Hugem. Dosud vyšly dvě sbírky povídek – Fire Watch a Impossible Things . Č. vyšly povídky v antologiích To nejlepší ze science fiction. První reprezentativní ročenka a Alien sex . Společně s Cynthií Feliceovou napsala dva nepříliš výrazné SF romány Water Witch a Light Raid . Mimořádný kritický ohlas zaznamenal její první samostatný román Lincoln’s Dreams s motivem psychického spojení s minulostí, konkrétně s dobou války Severu proti Jihu. Posun v čase do minulosti, tentokrát do morem stiženého středověku, je tématem rovněž úspěšného a Hugem oceněného románu Doomsday Book . W. je talentovaná spisovatelka, schopná napsat lehkou humoresku stejně jako procítěné drama; v současné době je zřejmě nejpopulárnější ženskou SF autorkou střední generace.
