Nicola Yoon

Nicola Yoon vyrostla na Jamajce a v Brooklynu. Nyní žije v Los Angeles s dcerou a manželem, romanopiscem a designerem Davidem Yoonem, korejským Američanem, který se podílel na grafické úpravě jejího debutového románu „Všechno, úplně všechno“. Vystudovala obor elektrický inženýr jako nižší vysokoškolský stupeň vzdělání na Cornell University a magisterské studium tvůrčího psaní na Emerson College, 20 let pracovala v oblasti investování. Pak se jí narodila dcera , a mateřství ji inspirovalo k napsání románu - jako novopečená maminka prožívala přirozený strach o dítě a sklony ochránit jej před vnějším světem. První verzi románu psala v ruce na papír. Předtím vyráběla šperky u firmy Nicola Yoon Design.
