Mariana Enríquezová je současná argentinská prozaička a novinářka. Vystudovala žurnalistiku a sociální komunikaci a působí jako zástupkyně šéfredaktora sekce umění a kultury v deníku Página/12. Věnuje se především románové a povídkové tvorbě a generačně náleží ke skupině autorů tzv. nové argentinské prózy. Už její první díla vzbudila pozornost nejen v argentinských literárních kruzích a nejnovější soubor povídek Co nám oheň vzal vyvolal obrovský zájem jak mezi čtenáři, tak mezi nakladateli po celém světě.
