Penelope Lively

Penelope Lively je britská autorka mnoha románů pro dospělé i děti. Získala řadu ocenění, mimo jiné Carnegieho medaili za dětskou literaturu, a dvakrát byla nominována na Bookerovu cenu: v roce 1977 za román The Road to Lichfield a v roce 1984 za román According to Mark . Cenu nakonec dostala v roce 1987 za román Měsíční tygr, který se probojoval i mezi finalisty prestižního ocenění Golden Man Booker za nejlepší román osmdesátých let. Ve své spisovatelské dráze pokračuje až do současnosti, i ve svých šestaosmdesáti letech stále vydává nové knihy — jejím posledním počinem je beletrizovaný esej Život v zahradě . Penelope Lively má dceru, syna, šest vnoučat a žije v Londýně.
